Subang Jaya, 5 May 2025 – DORMS Central Living Sdn Bhd proudly announces the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GreenRE Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s leading green building certification body, established under REHDA Institute (Official) Malaysia.
The MoU exchange took place at one of DORMS’s premium 1,000-bed Centralised Labour Quarters (CLQs) under its management in Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya. Completed in 2018, the CLQ was designed with both functionality and sustainability in mind.
This partnership marks a significant step forward in DORMS’ commitment to driving sustainable, energy-efficient practices in the planning and management of CLQs across Malaysia, in conjunction with GreenRE. It also supports broader national and global goals for climate resilience, green compliance, and the well-being of Malaysia’s essential workforce.
During the visit, GreenRE praised the CLQ’s thoughtful and forward-looking design, highlighting:
- Optimal access to natural daylight
- Use of 5-star rated, energy-efficient appliances
- Smart metering systems with in-room energy tracking
- Well-designed laundry areas to reduce water and power usage
